In our Washington, D.C. program, students of any major have the exceptional opportunity to spend a fall semester in the nation’s capital. Although D.C. is a city centered around politics, it is also home to a breadth of organizations in a variety of industries. Students will take courses and fulfill internships, gaining real-life experience working in: government, nonprofit, environmental, media, and communication organizations; arts, humanities, and educational institutions; social advocacy groups, businesses, economics and trade firms; and law and criminal justice agencies. The internship experience is an integral part of the Washington, D.C. experience. In the past, students have interned at renowned companies and places such as the White House, US Agency for Global Media, C-Span, US Department of Homeland Security, Embassy of El Salvador, and PBS’s To The Contrary—just to name a few.
