When students leave Emerson College with an open balance, their account becomes delinquent. Former students who have open balances are not eligible to re-enroll or receive academic transcripts until their balances, including all finance charges and collection fees, are paid in full. Emerson uses the following agencies to contact delinquent borrowers and collect funds:

Agencies

ECSI (Educational Computer Systems, Inc.)

ecsi.net/tpp/student.html
Phone: 888-549-3274
Address: 181 Montour Run Road
Coraopolis, PA 15108

After students leave Emerson with an open balance, ECSI will send them a bill for the entire debt. Students are given three months to pay the balance. If the debt is still unpaid after this time their name is sent to a collection agency. All delinquent accounts are subject to credit bureau reporting. The collection agencies Emerson College employs are listed below:

Williams and Fudge

Phone: 800-849-9791
Address: P.O. Box 11590
775 Addison Ave., Ste 201
Rock Hill, SC 29731

Windham

Phone: 603-890-4034
Address: P.O. Box 1758
Salem, NH 03079

Once an account is referred to a collection agency, the student is responsible for all collection agency costs and interest charges. All questions about repayment should then be directed to the collection agency controlling the account, not Emerson College.
