Emerson Closed

The College will be closed today, Monday, February 8 for day and evening classes. 

Due to National Weather Service predictions for hazardous conditions beginning mid-morning, the College is closing for the safety of our campus community and employees.

The College’s dining facilities will be open and operating on a normal schedule.  The Iwasaki Library will be open until 11pm.


Emerson College offers a rewarding and unique film experience in Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic. Prague has an esteemed film history, great historical beauty, wonderful film locations, and well-preserved architecture.

Over the past 20 years, lower filming costs, the long history of Czech film, and the expertise of local crews have attracted major studios, foreign film projects, and production companies from all over the world. For four weeks, Emerson students will attend lectures, take special tours and trips, make an HD production, and study on the campus of the Academy of Performing Arts for Film and Television (FAMU), ranked one of the top film schools in the world by the Hollywood Reporter.

Prague summer film students have the chance to study at the Film and TV School of the Academy of Performing Arts (FAMU) in Prague, one of the oldest film schools in Europe. Many award-winning filmmakers and scriptwriters are graduates of the school.
