Each of the departments in the School of Communication has programmed events that invite its students, Emerson alumni, and guests to participate in sessions, hear inspiring and well connected speakers, and network. The events are open to all majors.

    Film Synopsis:

    Still Alice premiered in 2014 and is based on Lisa Genova's 2007 bestselling novel of the same name. The film stars Julianne Moore as Alice Howland, a linguistics professor at Columbia diagnosed with familial Alzheimer's disease. Alec Baldwin plays her husband, John, and Kristen Stewart, Kate Bosworth, and Hunter Parrish play her children. The film was nominated for Best Picture and Moore won an Academy Award for Best Actress for the role.
