Each of the departments in the School of Communication has programmed events that invite its students, Emerson alumni, and guests to participate in sessions, hear inspiring and well connected speakers, and network. The events are open to all majors.

An Earth Day Conversation with Maximus Thaler

"Almost half the food produced in the United States is thrown away."
Maximus Thaler, founder of The Gleaners Kitchen, will talk about freeganism, dumpster diving, and his soon-to-be-published cookbook: A Curious Harvest (August 2014-Quarry Press). He will also show a rough cut of his short documentary.
Maximus graduated from Tufts University in 2013, where he studied alchemy, biology, art, physics, and philosophy, with a minor in communal living and Dumpster diving.
This event is not open to the public.
