Emerson Closed

The College will be closed today, Monday, February 8 for day and evening classes. 

Due to National Weather Service predictions for hazardous conditions beginning mid-morning, the College is closing for the safety of our campus community and employees.

The College’s dining facilities will be open and operating on a normal schedule.  The Iwasaki Library will be open until 11pm.

A Communication Studies Department faculty member’s book was recently named runner-up at the New England Book Festival and received an honorable mention at the London Book Festival.

Excuse Me, Can You Repeat That? (Five Star Publications, 2012) by Senior Scholar-in-Residence Cathryn Cushner Edelstein is a reference guide for international students assimilating to American college life.

Edelstein has taken an active role with Emerson’s international students, overseeing the International Graduate Transitional Leadership Program (iGrad) that pairs incoming Global graduate students with second year graduate students; and serving as faculty advisor for the International Graduate Student Organization.
