Design and Stage Management BFA Artistic Review Requirements

Log in or create an Acceptd account (if you already have an account, do not create a new one), complete the form, and upload the following

• Resume and Headshot (a one-page theatrical resume and headshot/selfie).
• Portfolio: Please upload a portfolio consisting of up to 20 creative or organizational samples that document either your work in the theatre or other creative pursuits that demonstrate your interests as a theatre-maker, such as:
  • Theatrical designs
  • Theatrical construction work
  • Fashion design and construction
  • Fashion hair and makeup
  • Puppetry design and construction
  • Partial production scripts that best highlight your stage management work (entire scripts are not necessary)
  • Relevant stage or company management paperwork such as:
    • • Contact sheets
      • Rehearsal and production schedules
      • Scene breakdowns
      • Rehearsal reports
      • Property running sheets
      • Cueing sheets
      • Blocking notes
  • Art Sketches
  • Paintings
  • Video or audio
  • Photos of scale models, ceramics, or sculptures
  • Jewelry designs
  • Computer graphics
  • Graphic designs
  • Evidence of special engineering or mechanical skills
  • Photography

Pay the non-refundable Artistic Application fee of $30

Once you have submitted your Artistic Application, you must schedule your interview in Acceptd by going to Schedule > My Timeslots > Select Timeslot.

Emerson offers virtual interviews conducted through Acceptd’s AuditionRoom platform. Interviews begin with a brief information session and Q&A with Performing Arts faculty and staff, followed by individually scheduled 30-minute interview time slots.
