Center for Comedic Arts
Explore every side of comedy—from sketch, improv, stand-up to writing and performance. The center connects students with opportunities to create original work, sharpen their craft, and collaborate with fellow comedians.
Emerson-Blanquerna Center for Global Communication
The center brings together students, faculty, researchers, and industry professionals in Boston and Barcelona to explore the future of communication worldwide. Through collaborative research, teaching, events, and international networking, the center develops new ideas, shares best practices, and builds connections across cultures and industries.
Queer Media and Arts Center
The Queer Media and Arts Center is a new interdisciplinary hub for research and creative practice exploring LGBTQ+ communities, culture, and representation. It will connect students and faculty through collaborative projects, scholarship, and artistic production.

Career Design Center

We specialize in preparing creatives and communicators for careers that are meaningful and sustainable, and will support you with career coaching, employer partnerships, and hands-on resources.
Center for Healing & Advocacy
The Center for Healing & Advocacy provides confidential, trauma-informed support for people impacted by power-based interpersonal violence. Through advocacy, counseling, healing programs, and educational workshops, the center helps individuals heal while working to foster a safer, more caring campus community.
Center for Spiritual Life
The Center for Spiritual Life offers an inclusive environment where students of all faiths, spiritual traditions, and backgrounds can find support, resources, and opportunities for personal growth. You can participate in meditation and prayer, attend retreats and community gatherings, connect with chaplains and student leaders, or simply find a quiet space for reflection.
Cultural Engagement Center
The Cultural Engagement Center promotes dialogue, reflection, and community-building across differences. It supports all students in exploring their perspectives, values, and lived experiences while fostering meaningful engagement with others who differ from them. Through inclusive programs and welcoming spaces, students explore identity, strengthen cross-cultural connections, and develop the skills to lead with empathy.
Emerson Wellness Center
The Emerson Wellness Center provides accessible, inclusive health and counseling services that support your physical, emotional, and mental well-being. Through healthcare, counseling, and wellness programs, students are empowered to make informed, healthy choices throughout college.
HIVE (Hub for Inclusive Visionary Engagement)
HIVE collaborates with students, staff, faculty, and community members to reimagine and expand resources that support community building, college access, and self-expression. Through free college pathway programs like EmersonWRITES and EmersonTHEATER, leadership opportunities, and campus initiatives, HIVE helps build a more connected and inclusive Emerson.
Community and Public Impact
Elma Lewis Center
Inspired by the legacy of Boston arts leader Elma Lewis, the center supports programs that connect students with community-based arts, culture, leadership, and social impact initiatives throughout the city.
Emerson Polling
Work alongside faculty and researchers to explore public opinion and survey research. Students gain valuable experience collecting, analyzing, and communicating data that helps shape public conversations.
Emerson Prison Initiative
The Emerson Prison Initiative expands access to education for people who are incarcerated through college-level learning opportunities. The program uses storytelling, creativity, and critical thinking to foster connection, growth, and meaningful engagement.
The Robbins Center
Serving clients and families since 1953, the Robbins Center offers speech, language, and hearing services while providing Communication Sciences and Disorders students with supervised clinical experience that bridges classroom learning and professional practice.
