From landmark theaters like the Cutler Majestic to professional-grade production studios like the Di Bona Family Television Studio, our students are able to realize their creative vision and learn the tools they need to compete in their industries.
Our campus houses industry-standard equipment and spaces designed for real production work: sound stages with lighting grids, audio recording studios, editing bays with the software you’ll use in your career, black box theaters, screening rooms, and post-production suites. You’ll learn on the same tools professionals use, which means by the time you graduate, you’re not just familiar with the equipment—you know how to use it under pressure, on deadline, and as part of a crew.

Directions by Car & Parking Options
From I-95, US 1, or Route 3
Follow signs to Boston via Interstate 93. Take Exit 26 (Storrow Drive/Cambridge) and proceed to the Copley/Back Bay exit (on the left). At the end of the exit ramp, turn left at the traffic signal onto Beacon Street, and then make a quick right onto Arlington Street. Follow Arlington Street alongside the Boston Public Garden to the fifth traffic light and turn left onto Stuart Street.
From I-90 (Massachusetts Turnpike)
Take Exit 22 (Prudential/Copley Square). Stay in the right lane for Copley Square (it comes up quickly!) and go straight onto Stuart Street when you come above ground.

The following parking garages are near Emerson College’s main campus in Boston, Massachusetts. Emerson does not have its own parking facilities.

Green Line
Take the Green Line to Boylston Station. Exit and walk to the corner of Tremont and Boylston streets and look for the purple banners alongside Emerson’s buildings.
Red Line
Take the Red Line to Park Street Station and transfer to the Green Line heading toward Boylston Station (follow the Green Line directions above).
Blue Line
Take the Blue Line to Government Center Station and then transfer to the Green Line heading toward Boylston Station (follow the Green Line directions above).
Orange Line
Take the Orange Line to Chinatown Station. Exit onto Washington and Boylston streets and walk one block along Boylston toward Boston Common.
Directions by Rail
Boston’s South Station is served by Amtrak and MBTA Commuter Rail originating from the west and south of Boston. Once inside the station, look for stairs to the subway (the T). Take the Red Line inbound to Park Street Station and transfer to the Green Line heading toward Boylston Station.
Directions by Air
From Logan International Airport
Outside any terminal at Boston’s Logan International Airport, board the #22 or #33 Massport Shuttle Bus to the MBTA Blue Line station. Take the Blue Line inbound to Government Center Station and transfer to the Green Line heading toward Boylston Station. Undergraduate Visitor FAQs
Do I need to register for a campus tour?
We recommend registering for a campus tour at least two days in advance. Walk-in visitors can join a guided tour only if space is available.
If a guided tour is full, you can pick up a printed self-guided tour outside the Visitor Center or upon request. To promote safety, only registered guests and members of the Emerson community are allowed inside our buildings and facilities.
Where do I check in, and what should I expect on tour day?
The Emerson College Visitor Center is located at 104 Boylston Street, Boston, MA 02116. Parking instructions and directions will be included in your confirmation and reminder email.
If you arrive early, please check in at the Visitor Center. Tours begin promptly, and late arrivals will be directed to join the tour already in progress.
How long is the campus tour?
Student-led campus tours last approximately 75–90 minutes. After your tour, Undergraduate Admission staff and student ambassadors will be available to answer your questions.
What if I’m sick or have COVID-19?
If anyone in your traveling party or household tests positive for COVID-19 or is experiencing symptoms, please stay home. We’ll be happy to help you reschedule your visit.

Graduate Visitor FAQs
Do I need to register for a campus tour?
Yes. All visitors must register for a campus tour at least 24 days in advance. Walk-in visitors cannot be accommodated for graduate tours.
Where do I check in, and what should I expect on tour day?
Parking instructions and directions will be included in your confirmation and reminder email.
Please arrive no more than 15 minutes before your scheduled tour time. Tours begin promptly, and late arrivals cannot be accommodated. Emerson is a closed, secured campus. Building, facility, and theater access is available only as part of a pre-registered campus tour.
How long is the tour, and what will I see?
Student ambassadors lead graduate tours lasting approximately 45–60 minutes. Because Emerson is an active campus, tours only enter buildings where students are not living or attending class. Photos and videos of additional spaces are available through our virtual tour.
What happens after my tour?
After your questions have been answered, we ask that visitors depart campus promptly at the conclusion of their tour.
