SiouxSanna Ramirez-Cruz is a multidisciplinary artist and educator. She teaches theatre studies and theatre design & technology at Emerson College. SiouxSanna is a delegate for the legal education firm, 1791 Delegates where she serves as theatre educator and curriculum designer for civic education projects, strategic planner for national education initiatives, and as a publicist. Previously she served as director of Laura’s Center for the Arts and the Arts & Education Department of the South Shore YMCA.

For over 25 years, SiouxSanna has built and led teams, and organizations in the arts, education, and communications. Currently, she serves as director of education for Broadway Experience. In this role, she devises curricula, creates educational resources, and leads year round workshops to connect, empower, and inspire youth. As community relations coordinator for the Boch Center – Wang Center, formerly known as the Wang Center for the Performing Arts, SiouxSanna devised educational programming, events, and workshops in the arts for community-based organizations and teens. At the Publick Theatre, SiouxSanna served as director of education of the teen training intensive, The Young Company, and served as co-executive director of Riverside Theatre Works.

As theatre educator, SiouxSanna can be found in the public and private school systems, on college campuses, and in community-based organizations including; Alvin Ailey Dance Theater’s AileyCamp Boston, Boston Arts Academy, Chapel Hill-Chauncy Hall School, the Fourth Presbyterian Church, Our Lady of Lourdes School. Saint Mary’s of the Hills School, Solomon Schechter Day School, and Westwood Recreation Department.

To support communities in need of exploring new avenues to health & well-being through the arts, she has created and led workshops using the visual arts with active older adults, Cancer survivors, and as curator and director of The Gallery at Laura’s Center for the Arts. SiouxSanna’s theatrical design work, directorial credits, and work as a producer includes residences at Bentley University, Emerson College, and Suffolk University. Currently, she is the vocalist for a 16 piece jazz orchestra, illustrator of several children’s books in progress, and a muralist at the Blackstone Elementary School in Boston.

SiouxSanna holds a Master of Arts in Theatre Education: Theatre & Community and K-12 Educator, and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting from Emerson College. She is currently completing a dual certificate in illustration and graphic design at Tufts University’s School of the Museum of Fine Arts and is a candidate in the Master of Fine Arts: Theatre Education & Applied Theatre Graduate Program at Emerson College
