Alex Lonati is a Boston-based director, producer, educator, accessibility advocate, and arts administrator. She directs throughout the city at the professional and collegiate level, including at SpeakEasy Stage Company (The Antiquities; Cost of Living), Greater Boston Stage Company (Webster’s Bitch), Umbrella Arts Center (The Counter), Brown Box Theatre Project (The Hotel Nepenthe; Don’t Feed the Bear), among others.

Professionally, she has been a member of SpeakEasy Stage’s administrative staff in a variety of positions since 2014, currently serving as the director of artistic and community programs, where she focuses primarily on producing, casting, season selection, accessibility, and community engagement.

Additionally, Lonati serves as the president of the Theatre Community Benevolent Fund (TCBF), an organization that provides emergency relief to artists in times of crisis, and is part of the Leadership Committee for the Boston Area Theatre Auditions (BATA).
