Alexander Danner

Alexander Danner is a writer and sound designer working in various media, including prose fiction, comics, and audio drama. He is co-creator of the serial audio drama Greater Boston, and a script writer on the forthcoming audio adaptation of the classic indie comic series ElfQuest, by Wendy and Richard Pini.

Danner is the sound designer of the serial audio drama What’s the Frequency?, created by James Oliva, and a contributing sound designer on Unwell: A Midwestern Gothic Mystery. He has appeared as an actor on various audio dramas.

His fiction has appeared in various magazines, including The Cantabrigian, The Saturday Evening Post, and Event: Poetry and Prose, as well as in the science fiction anthologies Machine of Death and The Girl at the End of the World.

Danner has contributed pieces to both volumes of Colonial Comics, a history comics series about Colonial New England. He is co-author of two textbooks about comics:;Comics: A Global History, 1968 — Present with Dan Mazur (Thames & Hudson, 2014), and Character Design for Graphic Novels with Steven Withrow (Rotovision/Focal Press, 2007).
