Barbara Worth

Barb Worth is a clinical and academic instructor with over 30 years of experience as a speech-language pathologist. Based in the Boston metropolitan area, she has dedicated her career to treating clients with voice, swallowing, and cognitive-communication disorders across major hospitals and academic institutions.

At Emerson’s Robbins Center, Worth specializes in supervising and mentoring graduate students, focusing particularly on voice disorders and gender-affirming voice care. Her passion for the human voice stems from her personal background in singing and formal music education. This artistic foundation deeply informs her clinical practice and teaching philosophy.

Worth has been invited to present at prominent local and national organizations, including the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), Fenway Health, The New England Conservatory of Music, Northeastern University, and the popular podcast SLP Nerdcast.
