Carlos R Cruz

Before moving from Puerto Rico to the state of Massachusetts, Carlos Cruz worked for the government of Puerto Rico as an economist in the Planning Board Department. When he moved to Massachusetts, Cruz worked in the field of finance and accounting in different financial institutions, and as a Spanish language instructor from 1997 to 2008. Since 2009, he has focused on teaching Spanish.

Cruz defended his dissertation on the use of the Spanish language by non-native speakers in the United States, based on research that he did interviewing several people with different professions and different languages ??who studied Spanish as a requirement for their jobs.

One of his passions is to travel around the world, meeting people from different cultures and traditions. He has been to 29 countries to date. Another of his passions is teaching Spanish. He has taught all levels, from beginners to the most advanced, as well as taught culture and literature at the academic level.
