Christopher Shin

Christopher Shin is a musical theater performer, director/choreographer, and educator. He made his Broadway debut in Mary Poppins, where he was a member of the closing company. Touring credits include Irving Berlin’s White Christmas (directed/choreographed by Tony nominee Randy Skinner) and Kansas City Starlight’s tour of Miss Saigon (choreographed by Baayork Lee, recipient of the 2017 Isabelle Stevenson Tony Award).

Regional performance credits include: Arena Stage, Goodspeed Opera House, Walnut Street Theatre, Maltz Jupiter Theatre, Westport Country Playhouse, Sacramento Music Circus, Gulfshore Playhouse, Ogunquit Playhouse, North Shore Music Theatre, and Arkansas Rep.

Choreography credits include: Lyric Stage of Boston (Something Rotten, Urinetown — Boston Theater Critics’ Pick), Chuang Stage (Did You Eat? — Boston Theater Critics’ Pick, Boston Globe’s Top 10 Theatre Productions of 2024), Greater Boston Stage Company (Little Shop of Horrors — Boston Theater Critics’ Pick), TexArts (Anything Goes, Annie, Grease), Zilker Theatre Productions (Newsies — B. Iden Payne Award for Outstanding Movement Performance), and Emerson Stage (25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, Natasha, Pierre and the Great Comet of 1812, Bat Boy, Cabaret).

Shin has taught at San Diego State University and Molloy College/CAP21. As an educator, he strongly believes in collaboration, transparency, and effective communication. He strives to work holistically to help cultivate a well rounded, young artist who brings their authentic self into both their work and community.
