David Richwine has taught copy editing and news editing/reporting at Emerson for 21 years. During many of those years, he was also the full-time metro and regional copy desk chief at the Boston Globe. Previously, Richwine worked as an editor and reporter for United Press International’s Boston bureau.

In addition to teaching, he works as a freelance copy editor for MIT Technology Review, PetMD (a chewy.com website), and Dell’Oro Group, among other clients, and has edited several books.
