Gary Overhultz’s multi-decade career established him as a well-regarded marketing information pioneer. He spent 14 years in a high-flying NASDAQ corporation, successfully managing marketing, product development, sales, data acquisition, and software development teams ranging in size from five to 3,400 people, serving Fortune 200 consumer products companies.
He went on to help grow three start-up companies, with responsibilities ranging from product vision and development, materials procurement, and nation-wide installation, to data management, customer service, and intellectual property development. He has been awarded approximately 30 U.S. and international patents for new technology and techniques that optimize retail practices and promotions.
Overhultz brings his experiences, personal stories, and skills from decades in general management, business strategy, hiring and people development, marketing research and management, sales, and customer service to the classroom. His current emphasis is on helping students identify and monetize their passions, then teaching business skills to sustain those passions through creativity and strategic focus.
