Janice Pieroni

Janice Pieroni is the founder of Story Arts Management, where she has served as a literary manager, consultant, writer, and editor developing film, television, and book projects for a national, and at times, international clientele. She has placed over 25 client fiction or non-fiction book projects with such publishers as Simon & Schuster, W.W. Norton, and Wiley, and guided numerous client screenplays into development with Los Angeles producers.

Pieroni’s entertainment industry experience includes working as an executive at Universal Studios, and she has co-written half-hour television episodes for Universal Studios and its affiliates. In addition, she has worked as: an assistant to Martin Scorsese; a script reader for a company that produced an Academy Award-winning feature; a production assistant on a Warner Bros. feature and on several PBS-funded projects; and an assistant at WNET, New York’s public broadcasting station.

A seasoned professional speaker, Pieroni has spoken at educational institutions including Harvard University, the University of Massachusetts, Tufts University, and Amherst College, as well as at writers’ conferences, professional organizations, and continuing education venues. She has produced or assisted with producing events by industry leaders, moderated or participated in industry panels, and served as a judge for pitch, film, and screenwriting competitions. She is a member of Writers Guild of America West.
