Mark Micheli is a multimedia journalist who specializes in short-form documentary-style videos. He most recently created the 2025 short documentary, Paloma, Angel of the Sea, which was screened at film festivals in New York City, Puerto Rico, San Francisco, and New Hampshire.
Micheli was a newspaper reporter and managing editor for more than a dozen years before making the leap online in 1995 to the Interchange Online News Service, an experimental division of AT&T. There, he worked with a team of journalists learning and shaping the tenets of online news before most people heard about the World Wide Web. He was part of the team that also created Lead Story, a comprehensive look at the top news story of the day that is sometimes referred to as the first group blog. It was ranked as one of the top eight websites to visit by U.S. News & World Reports.
He later worked as a reporter at the Boston Business Journal before becoming news editor of Boston.com at the Boston Globe, where he directed a staff of producers to cover some of the biggest news stories in New England and the nation. He also created two weekly video series for the Globe: Dorm Room Chef featured Boston chefs preparing food on camera that students could make in their dorm room, and Drink of the Week featured Boston bartenders preparing specialty cocktails.
After leaving the Globe, he started Reel Partners Media, where he creates short-form, documentary-style videos for businesses and nonprofits.
