Morgan Baker

Morgan Baker is the author of the award-winning memoir, Emptying the Nest: Getting Better at Goodbyes (2023), and the managing editor of The Bucket (substack). A recent essay, “Beach Walks with Mayzie,” is the in anthology Washashore Review.
Her work can be found in Women’s Health, Brevity Blog, Expression, The Boston Globe Magazine, The New York Times Magazine, Cognoscenti, Motherwell, and others.
Baker is the recipient of The Alan Stanzler Award for Excellence in Teaching. She lives in Cambridge with a house full of dogs, and her husband.
