Rob Stegman is a producer with more than 40 years of work to his name, including broadcast TV, cable documentaries, live events, music videos and concerts, commercials, marketing media, and training videos. Stegman’s production company, BlueStar Media, has created a series of in-depth videos on such diverse topics as media literacy and wildland fire, along with four independently produced feature documentaries.

Stegman has been honored for his work on the 2011 film For the Love of the Music: The Club 47 Folk Revival with, among other awards, the Best Indie Spec Documentary at the 2012 Boston International Film Festival. “Make Way For Menino,” a political spot, was the recipient of both Communicator and Aurora awards. “Firefighter Safety in the Wildland/Urban Interface” received a Communicator Award of Distinction. As a developer of Know TV, a media literacy curriculum for Time Warner and The Learning Channel, Rob captured the Golden CableAce Award. And Stegman garnered two regional Emmy Awards for his work at ABC affiliate WCVB-TV.

Stegman currently teaches at Emerson College and Boston University, and serves on the Board of Directors of the Massachusetts Coalition to Prevent Gun Violence.
