Scott Cooper is a native of Brooklyn, New York. His articles have appeared in Quarterly Review of Film and Video, Questions of Third Cinema, Third World Affairs, and the Journal of Cinema and Television. His MFA thesis film, The Right Choice, won a Silver Apple at the National Educational Film and Video Festival and appeared in 13 film festivals overall.
