Stephanie Heroux

Stephanie Heroux has toured internationally as a dancer/dance captain for Royal Caribbean International, and performed locally with The Liz Lerman Dance Exchange, Lorraine Chapman The Company, and ACE Entertainment. She is a MA board-licensed physical therapist, and is a certified instructor of the Progressing Ballet Technique and The Ellové Technique ®.

She founded Jazz Inc. Dance, a Boston-based production company specializing in the preservation of jazz dance through concert and commercial theatre. Clients include a variety of prominent local businesses, sports teams, TV productions, and non-profit organizations. Via Jazz Inc, Heroux produced two evening-length original works, BLINK and Escaping the Frame, created specifically for OBERON and the Somerville Theatre, respectively, to celebrate their unique performance spaces in collaboration with local musicians and multimedia artists.

She teaches master classes and choreographs for performing companies across New England, holding faculty positions at The Jeannette Neill Dance Studio, Boston Youth Moves, Green Street Studios, Ballet Arts Center of Winchester, Emerson College, Harvard University, the American Repertory Theatre’s Institute for Advance Theatre Studies.

Heroux provides physical therapy services to clients at a local outpatient clinic and in performing arts venues around Boston. She is passionate about educating her clients in how to move smarter, and presented her research in screening dancers for injury risk at the 2018 IADMS annual conference.
