Ziba Karjoo

Dr. Ziba Karjoo is an economist who specializes in international trade and macroeconomics. Her interests include innovation, environmental economics, and econometrics. Her work has been published in the International Economic Journal and Regional Science Inquiry.

At Emerson, she serves as the coordinator of the Economics minor. Prior to joining the faculty at Emerson, Dr. Karjoo worked as a data scientist and economic researcher with the Prevention Innovations Research Center and the Rosenberg International Franchise Center.

She was honored with the graduate student teaching award from the Department of Economics at the University of New Hampshire, where she received her PhD. She also earned a certificate of College Teaching from the Centers for Excellence and Innovation in Teaching and Learning at UNH.
