We have an institutional commitment to making an Emerson education a valuable and affordable option—charging less for tuition than most of our top competitors.

To figure out the total cost of your graduate education, you must take into consideration direct costs (i.e., tuition and fees) and indirect costs (i.e., the cost of living in Boston). Tuition for graduate students is based on a per credit cost. For most programs, there is great flexibility in the number of courses you take each semester, allowing you to budget according to your needs. Tuition is usually set in early March for the following academic year.

In order to support you during your time at Emerson College, there are a few fees required of our enrolled students, including student services and registration fees. Need guidance about living in Boston? Our Office of Off-Campus Student Services will be happy to help.

Billing Schedule

Emerson College issues electronic tuition statements once each semester. Students can view their statements in TouchNet through myEmerson, and Authorized Users can access statements by logging in to TouchNet with their own credentials. Students and their Authorized Users will receive an email notification whenever a new tuition statement is available.

  • Fall semester: Statements are available in late June and payment is due August 2.
  • Spring semester: Statements are available in mid-November and payment is due December 15.
  • Pay your balance by the billing due date to avoid having your course registration terminated. Students with unresolved account balances will be automatically deregistered. For more information, please review the College’s Financial Policies.

Students can add or update Authorized Users in myEmerson by selecting Student Services and then Make a Payment.
