Jonathan Rizzardi

Jonathan June Rizzardi is an educator, performing artist, and theatre historian. Rizzardi has trained theatre educators to serve young people in a wide range of settings, including public schools, arts outreach programs, and complex spaces of trauma stewardship, such as juvenile detention centers, drug rehabilitation facilities, and foster care systems.

Rizzardi’s practitioner work extends across fields of movement-based storytelling, youth creative drama, and arts integration promoting mental health and wellness practices. Their academic writing has been published by Routledge, Vanderbilt University Press, and in the New England Theatre Journal, and explores various topics, including how acts of education and maturation intersected with public performance in early 20th-century America.
