Terri Trespicio:
What does it mean to make it big? "Making it" has all kinds of metrics—money, fame, worldwide acclaim. It kind of depends on who you ask. It might mean seeing your name in print, or in lights. It might mean making a difference in your community, your industry, or the world. For some of us, it means finally having our own place.
As Emersonians, we're proud of what makes us different, and we're also part of a collective, creative force. We don't just know things, we make things. We make believe, and then we make it real. We make way, and make waves. We make it work, and we make do when we must. We've also been known to make it up as we go, and sometimes, we make history. To us, "making it" literally means "making it;" creating things that matter, move, and open the world to new possibilities. And as far as we're concerned, if you're making something, you've made it.
But make no mistake, this isn't a podcast just about the alums who made it big in one industry, in one city, or in one way. It's about all the ways we make it big every day. In each 30-minute episode, you'll meet an Emerson alumni who's making it through their efforts, talent, and vision. Some of them you may have heard of, but most of them? We bet you haven't. They've got one thing in common: they're making it big in ways that are worth hearing about. Join us for "Making It Big in 30 Minutes," the podcast for, by, and about, the Emerson community, and the many ways its alumni are making the world a little better every day.
