An avid believer in the power of rhetoric and that "everyone's an author," Ashling Chupak teaches in the first-year writing program at Emerson and writes both fiction and non-fiction. During her undergraduate creative writing and literary studies at Eckerd College, she also served as a Production Stage Manager and studied Shakespearian Literature and Interpretation as a Ford Apprentice Scholar.
Prior to receiving her MFA in Fiction from Emerson, she worked as the Director of Marketing and Community Outreach for local government in Lansing, Michigan. She has been teaching in WLP's first-year writing program since 2021 and joined Affiliated Faculty in 2024. In addition to her scholarly roles and pursuits, she has also proudly continued working in the service industry, bartending since 2018.
