Carol Parikh has worked as copyeditor for a wide range of publishers, including MIT Press, Columbia University, Northeastern University, Berkshire Publishing Group, and Natural Health magazine, where she also served as associate editor. She began her editorial work after the publication of her biography of a mathematician, The Unreal Life of Oscar Zariski.
Her prize-winning fiction has been published here and in India and been nominated for a Pushcart Prize. Before coming to Emerson, she taught writing and literature at Boston University, Tufts University, the University of California, and elsewhere.
