Tyler McPeek assists students from diverse language and cultural backgrounds towards academic success at Emerson. This includes academic writing assistance, English as a second language enhancement, general academic support resources, and awareness of academic expectations. Tyler is committed to globalization initiatives in our higher education system for maximizing international competitiveness. International students can face unique cultural and linguistic challenges that need to be addressed, but international student matriculation also provides great benefit to the college community through the internationalization of academic life on campus. At Emerson, Tyler assists international students with the services they need to be academically successful and socially integrated in the community, enhancing the overall international learning environment. Tyler holds a B.F.A. in Creative Writing from St. Andrews University, an M.B.A. in International Business from Ritsumeikan APU, and a Ph.D. in Linguistics from the University of Florida.
