Electric Pilgrims launches Emerson’s Urban Arts Program, an initiative of Emerson College’s School of Arts to develop the visual arts as a vital component of the College’s arts profile. It is the first of three visual arts displays that the School of the Arts will present in 2015-2016. Joseph Ketner, Distinguished Curator-in-Residence for Visual and Media Arts (VMA) and Henry and Lois Foster Chair in Contemporary Art at Emerson College, who curates Electric Pilgrims, says, “I’m very excited to announce that Emerson College is developing its visual arts program for the public, Emerson Urban Arts. I am pleased to be spearheading this effort and introducing a new visual arts program to Boston. It is significant that our endeavor begins with a collaboration with FPAC, which operates the longest- running Open Studio program in the Commonwealth.”
Thank you to David G. Breen and VDA Productions for their technical expertise on Electric Pilgrims and their continued support of Emerson College.
