Frequently Asked Questions:

Are food and beverages allowed in the Game Room?

Food and beverage are allowed in the Game Room, however only at the table locations and not near or on any of the game tables or arcade machines.

Can I move the furniture?

Yes, you can move any of the chairs and ottomans. Please do not move the couch, tables, game tables (pool, air hockey, foosball), or arcade machines. Also, please return them to their original locations after you are done with them.

My organization or department would like to reserve the Game Room for a private event, is that possible?

No, the Game Room is meant to be a third space on campus that is available for any and all students and other Emerson community members to enjoy during operational hours, and is not available outside of those hours.

May I bring my own gaming console or connect another device such as a laptop to the TV?

Yes, you may use your own console at your own risk. Game Room staff and the Campus Centers department are not responsible for items not provided by the College or left unattended. Please also be mindful of the connection options and adapters.

Can I play a movie or show on the big TV?

The TV is available for students to use and enjoy. Unfortunately due to copyright laws, the College does not allow students to host screenings as the Game Room is a public space. If you log in with your own private account to one of the apps on the TV, make sure that you log out so it is not accessible to other patrons.

Can I leave my stuff in the Game Room or with the Game Room Attendant?

No, this space is open to the Emerson community, and the staff cannot hold your personal items nor will we be held responsible for any items left that may go missing.

I left something behind, where can I find it?

Items left behind may be turned into the campus Lost and Found with Emerson College Police Department (ECPD) at 114 Boylston Street, open 24/7, where you should inquire about lost items or file a report, especially for IDs or other items of value.

I want to play a game but someone is hogging the equipment...What can I do?

Did you check in with the Emersonian and let them know you were waiting to play? Did you ask if you can join the fun? Did you ask to play the winner?

Otherwise, please see the Game Room Attendant. They will be happy to assist.
