Qualified students may apply to spend either the Fall or Spring semester at Paris College of Art.
Paris College of Art promotes the artistic and intellectual maturation of promising students into exceptional artists, photographers, designers, and design managers. Grounded in the Parisian landscape, informed by the European art and design world, nourished by a faculty of leaders in the creative industries from the world over, and replenished by students from over 50 countries, Paris College of Art is a truly international college.
Located in the 10th arrondissement, facilities include: an amphitheater, gallery space, student and faculty social spaces, a private landscaped courtyard, computer labs, fashion ateliers, printmaking studio, digital and wet photography labs, a sculpture studio for work in wood, metal, clay and more, and many light and airy classrooms with amazing views of Montmartre. The neighborhood of PCA provides easy access to the textile stores of Montmartre, many theaters, performing arts studios, and the offices of many creative agencies as well as a wealth of cafes and restaurants nearby.
Emerson students enrolled at PCA take English-taught courses that meet General Education requirements, a limited number of Liberal Arts/Perspectives requirements, and may also progress towards majors in Visual & Media Arts degrees.
Students reside in independent, efficiency apartment-style student accommodations in Paris and enroll in coursework with PCA degree students and other international students, including cohorts of the Global BFA in Film Art program.
Eligibility
The Paris College of Art Exchange Program is open to qualified sophomores, juniors, and first semester seniors in good conduct and academic standing. The minimum cumulative grade point average requirement is 3.0. Enrollment may be limited due to capacity limitations at PCA.
