Emerson College awards fellowships to applicants who are exceptionally well-qualified for graduate study based upon their comprehensive academic credentials, including professional promise and past academic excellence. We offer four different types of fellowships: Graduate Dean's Fellowship, Half Tuition Fellowship, Presidential Fellowship, and Full Tuition Fellowship. We offer an additional fellowship to students in the Communication Management program: The Cecil and Helen Rose Ethics in Communication Scholarship.

Each program’s faculty review committee selects the recipients, and awards range from $10,000 to full tuition depending on program. No fellowship will be awarded for a value that is higher than the cost of tuition.

All applicants who complete their admission application by the deadline will be automatically reviewed for consideration. There is no additional paperwork to fill out.

Transformational Leaders Graduate Fellowship

A select number of students accepted into the Transformational Leaders Graduate Fellowship are awarded a financial scholarship and stipend and participate in leadership development training and mentoring. The Fellowship is designed for first-year graduate students who are rising leaders looking to bring equity, diversity, and inclusion to the arts and communication fields.
