The Encore Scholarship reflects Emerson’s commitment to supporting our graduates as they remain competitive in the job market. Qualified alumni of Emerson College are eligible for at least a $4,000 per term scholarship for full-time or $2,000 per term for part-time study. The exact award amount is based on the number of credits taken each term.

Emerson is proud to announce several exciting updates to the Encore Scholarship program. The program is now available to a host of graduate degrees and certificate programs. Also, alumni from both undergraduate and graduate programs are now eligible to receive scholarship benefits.

The Encore Scholarship can be used for full-time or part-time study in the following programs:


Eligibility

In order to be eligible for an Encore Scholarship, each applicant must:

  • Be a new enrolling student;
  • Have graduated with an Emerson College bachelor's or master's degree;
  • Be accepted into one of the participating master’s degree programs. A complete application, including all required materials, must be submitted by the corresponding admission priority deadline. Acceptance is not guaranteed and is determined by each individual program; and
  • Maintain a 3.0 cumulative GPA each semester of graduate study enrollment.

Who is Not Eligible

Please note: Students in the following are not eligible for this scholarship:

  • Non-degree and professional studies degree programs
  • 4+1 (Undergraduate + 1 year graduate) programs

How it Works

  • The scholarship is awarded per semester for tuition only.
  • Recipients are responsible for financing any remaining cost of their degree
  • The Encore Scholarship may be used one time only
  • If a qualified graduate is awarded other Emerson College grant aid, they will receive only the single award with the higher value.
  • Students must maintain a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA each semester of graduate study
  • Applications must be submitted by the priority deadline for the program of interest.

Apply

To be eligible for the Encore Scholarship, students must be fully admitted into an eligible master's degree program. The Encore Scholarship cannot be held concurrently with any other College-funded or externally funded financial award.
