Government and Community Relations
The Office of Government and Community Relations works closely with key stakeholders, city and state agencies, and surrounding neighborhoods to establish partnerships that align with the College’s civic engagement initiatives.
These guiding principles focus on the College’s commitment and responsibility to inform the neighborhood with respect to public policy, legislative advocacy, quality of life, and public safety issues that impact the Midtown Cultural District.
This work involves testifying at public hearings on behalf of the community; overseeing Rotch Playground, a public/private partnership with the City of Boston; and collaborating with various nonprofit organizations. By leveraging the College’s skill sets and resources, the office continues its mission to advocate for those who work, live, or visit this area of the City.
