Amanda Warren is a medically focused speech-language pathologist who has been with Emerson College since 2019. At Emerson, her roles are primarily focused on advising systems for the Speech@Emerson online masters in Speech-Language Pathology.
Clinically, she has a special interest in neurologically based disorders in both the adult and pediatric populations. She has extensive experience in outpatient, acute care, rehabilitative care, skilled nursing, and home care environments. Amanda has significant experience in dysphagia management, palliative care, augmentative communication at the end of life, and patient-family advocacy and education across the life span. She has taught at the undergraduate and graduate level in speech-language pathology. She also creates online CEU courses for SLPs. She is motivated by conversations about mentorship and clinical education, particularly the topic of bringing up clinicians who are fascinated by critical thinking and problem solving.
