Felice Freyer

Felice J. Freyer is an award-winning journalist who covers all aspects of health care and medicine. In April 2024, she moved into freelance writing after 10 years as a staff reporter at the Boston Globe. Before the Globe, she was the medical writer at the Providence Journal, where she contributed to a package that was selected as a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize. At Emerson, Felice has a taught a popular course in Feature Writing that encourages students to dig deep as reporters and spread their wings as writers. She recently introduced a course in health care journalism. Felice serves as president of the Association of Health Care Journalists, the world's largest group  of reporters, editors and producers who cover health care and medicine.
