Indira S. Pensado is an actor, director and voice teacher.

Indira trained with Kozanna Lucca and Jonathan Hart from the Roy Hart Theater, with whom she has also developed a methodology for offering voice work.   She is a Designated Linklater Professor DLT since 2012, trained by Antonio Ocampo, Andrea Haring and Kristin Linklater. As an actor and director she's known by the powerful use of voice and body for stage.  Since 2000, she has conducted voice workshops around Mexico, Argentina, Costa Rica, Singapore and the USA .Indira has taught at National School of Theater ENAT in Mexico City, she collaborates with the Intercultural Theater Institute ITI, Singapore, and the University of Costa Rica. She is a founder member of Médula Teatro company. She has been awarded by the Fondo Nacional para la Cultura y las Artes as a Scenic Creator with experience in 2008 and 2016.  She’s in charge of the Linklater Teacher Training with Andrea Haring and a member of the Interim Linklater Teacher Training Committee. She’s currently a full time Faculty Assistant Professor of Performing Arts and Head of Voice in the Acting Department at Emerson College in Boston, Mass.
