Lisa Diercks teaches book design, magazine design, and design software courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels. She also acts as design advisor for the department's student publications.
She is a publishing industry veteran and continues to be active in her field, working primarily in book design. She began her career at Houghton Mifflin/Trade and later established her own design studio. Her publishing clients have included AIGA Boston; The Atlantic Monthly; Beacon Press; Boston Review; Carnegie Museum of Art; Countryman Press; Da Capo; Hachette Book Group; Houghton Mifflin Harcourt; Little, Brown; the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston; Ploughshares; Seal Press; Ten Speed Press; and W.W. Norton.
