Max has been involved in international education since 2010 and has been an immigration advisor for most of that time. At Emerson, Max supports international students, specifically focusing on graduate students, and is otherwise involved with the activities of the Internationalization and Equity team. Max holds a PhD in Comparative and International Education and an MEd in International Higher Education both from Loyola University Chicago, and a BA in German Language and Literature from Earlham College. His research focuses primarily on international student mobility and migration policy and issues of environmental sustainability in international education.
Outside of work, Max loves watching MotoGP motorcycle racing and riding motorcycles. He also enjoys watching and playing soccer/football, playing video and board games, and walking and hiking.
