Rob Dückers is Assistant Director for Administration and Management for the Emerson College European Center at Kasteel Well, the Netherlands. His specialist fields are manuscript illumination and medieval church-treasures. He regularly publishes and lectures on these subjects.

Prior to coming to Kasteel Well, he taught and did research at the Radboud University, Nijmegen for over three years and was invited by Museum Het Valkhof, Nijmegen, to curate two internationally acclaimed exhibitions on such treasures as manuscripts illuminated by the Limbourg Brothers and the Hours of Catherine of Cleves. These exhibitions featured loans from museums and collections all over the world, such as the Royal Library of H.M. Queen Elizabeth II (Windsor), the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York, the Morgan Library & Museum, New York, the Museé du Louvre, Paris, the Vatican Library, Rome, and the Getty Museum, Los Angeles. Apart from his duties at Kasteel Well, Rob is writing his doctoral dissertation on manuscripts from the so-called Upper-Quarter of the Duchy of Guelders (a region now in the Netherlands). In addition, he is also curator of the Treasury of the Basilica of Saint Servatius in Maastricht, which has the finest collection of medieval and postmedieval ecclesiastical art in situ in the Netherlands.
