Emerson College’s approach to research and creative work centers on fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and care. Through a robust infrastructure, faculty members are empowered to engage in impactful research and creative practices that align with the College’s mission.

The Emerson College Research Hub promotes community-building, resource-sharing, and support for faculty, connecting them with centers, institutes, and labs to facilitate groundbreaking work and address research challenges. This vibrant network strengthens Emerson’s dedication to advancing research and creativity across disciplines.

The Office of Research and Creative Scholarship (ORCS) supports the Emerson community by offering guidance, services, and programs for those pursuing financial support for scholarly endeavors. ORCS assists with all stages of the grant process, from proposal development to post-award management, and ensures compliance with relevant policies and regulations.

Digital Scholarship is also supported at Emerson through the Iwasaki Library. Digital Scholarship is defined as any scholarly activity that makes extensive use of one or more of the new possibilities for teaching and research opened up by the unique affordances of digital media. If you have a project, creative idea, or any other form of scholarship that you want online but are not sure how to start, please reach out to the Iwasaki Library to go over possible options.
