Emerson faculty are leaders in their disciplines, with fellowships from the Guggenheim Foundation, the Harvard-Radcliffe Fellowship, ACLS, Mellon Foundation, Ford Foundation, Fulbright Program, Creative Capital, AAUW, and the Institute for Citizens and Scholars. They have conducted research funded by the NIH, NEA, NEH, and NSF, led innovative projects across the arts, humanities, and sciences, and contributed to significant advancements in their fields.
A faculty-wide review in 2023–24 revealed a shared desire to strengthen research culture, collaboration, and recognition. In response, the Office of the Provost established the Emerson College Research Hub to elevate and connect faculty research across the College.

- Advance Emerson’s mission of academic and creative excellence
