- Realistic replicas of weapons and prop weapons
- Heating elements that have an exposed hot surface (sunlamps, space heaters, etc.)
- Kitchen appliances that have an exposed hot surface (electric frying pans, hot pans, coffee makers, toasters, popcorn poppers, rice cookers, crock pots, etc.)
- Air Fryers
- Dart Boards utilizing metal or sharp tips
- Bed Risers taller than 6 inches
- Air Conditioners
- Non-College issued upholstered furniture or window treatments

- Area rugs exceeding 20 square feet (rugs are only allowed in 2 Boylston Place and Paramount)

- Light strings without a label indicating the product has undergone testing by a nationally recognized laboratory such as Underwriters Laboratories (UL) Tapestries, flags, and other fabric hangings

- Full length mirror (already provided inside wardrobes)
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I bring a microwave and/or refrigerator?
Yes! Microwaves can be up to 700 watts and refrigerators/freezers can be up to 3.1 cubic ft total. You can also rent refrigerators and microwaves upon request.
Are single serve coffee makers, like Keurigs, allowed?
Yes!
What size are the beds?
All of the beds are Twin XL (36" by 80")
Can I bring my own furniture?
Due to fire safety concerns, students are not permitted to bring upholstered furniture into the residence halls.
Can I bring my own curtains or tapestries?
All windows are outfitted with window shades, and curtains or tapestries are not permitted.
