Community members are required to be fully vaccinated or receive an approved medical or religious exemption. You are considered fully vaccinated 14 days after the second dose of a two-dose vaccine (Pfizer, Moderna) or 14 days after receiving a single dose (Johnson & Johnson) vaccine. The College accepts all FDA-EUA and WHO-EUL approved vaccines for the start of the fall term. This applies to all undergraduate and graduate students who attend classes in person or participate in any in-person activities.
This policy includes participants in graduate programs that take place specifically online, but include in-person activities as part of the program, such as Speech@Emerson or any low residency program with an on-campus component. Graduate students in these programs must complete their vaccination sequence prior to arriving on campus.
Students requesting an exemption on religious or medical grounds should contact the Center for Health and Wellness for more information. Students much receive an approved exemption prior to arriving on campus.
Please note that students who are not in compliance with the COVID vaccination policy will not be permitted to enter college-operated spaces. Students are not guaranteed alternative instruction or guidance, nor entitled to refund of fees if they are denied access to college-operated spaces as a result of being out of compliance with this policy.
