Academic advising is essential for students to maximize their experience at Emerson College. Expert advisors in the Academic Advising Center (AAC) empower students to make well-informed decisions on their path toward graduation. The AAC provides undergraduate students with empathetic and well-informed academic planning support in a welcoming environment. 

Services Provided by the Academic Advising Center

Students visit the (AAC) to:

• Define educational goals;
• Map out a path through degree requirements;
• Track academic progress toward graduation;
• Review the Liberal Arts and major curricula;
• Prepare for course selection and registration;
• Receive help adjusting schedules during add/drop;
• Clarify academic policies and procedures;
• Discuss a major change or minor declaration;
• Assess options when experiencing academic difficulty;
• Explore participation in Emerson’s external programs;
• Seek referrals to other campus resources.
