Performance Venues

A first-class performing home for many of New England's finest arts groups, the Cutler Majestic Theatre at Emerson College gives residents and visitors to greater Boston exceptional and unusual cultural and entertainment programs to attend all year-round.

The Paramount Center is a first-of-its-kind mixed-use residential, academic, and performance venue.

The Semel Theater is a thrust stage featuring a tension-wire grid overhead and a trapped stage underfoot, with seating for 216.

The Greene Theater is an end-stage theater with seating for 108.

The Student Performance Center features a banquet style room arrangement.

The Jackie Liebergott Black Box, named after the former Emerson president (1992 to 2011), is a multi-functional space with potential seating for 125. It is specifically designed for small-scale experimental and academic program productions, is equipped with theatrical lighting and stage and audience seating platforms with moveable seating.

The Bright Family Screening Room, named after the family of Kevin Bright ’76, seats 174. It features the latest 16mm film and digital video projection equipment.

The Huret and Spector Gallery is Emerson’s longest running gallery. It is a laboratory for students and faculty of the College to produce experimental art projects and a venue for students to display their BFA thesis exhibitions as well as other exhibitions and events related to the curriculum.

WERS (88.9 FM) is Emerson College's award-winning radio station. Student-run and professionally managed, it serves New England an eclectic mix of musical genres and more live performances than any other station in the region. Programming includes 20 different styles of music, calendars of events, public service announcements, news, and special events of interest to the College community and beyond.
