How to Apply
Students at the Longy School of Music may apply to the Bachelor of Music (BM) degree with the Emerson Application via Emerson’s undergraduate transfer process. (International applicants, please visit the International Transfer website.)
Some important notes about applying that are unique to the BM degree:
- Please use only the Emerson Application when applying to this program.
- Be sure to select "Summer" as your starting term on your application.
- If the Longy Registrar’s office has an official copy of your high school transcript, you may have the Registrar send a copy directly to Emerson. (This applies to both U.S. and international high school transcripts.)
- Official transcripts must be submitted from any other college where you have taken courses (in addition to Longy).
- Please request that an official score report be sent directly to Emerson from the College Board (SAT) or ACT. (Our SAT code is 3367. Our ACT code is 1820.) We will review your application with SAT or ACT results that are indicated on an official transcript sent from your high school, but an official score report must still be submitted.
