Faculty who participate in any of our graduation ceremonies will be seated on stage at the Wang Theatre and must wear academic regalia (cap, gown, hood). Regalia may be rented from the Emerson Emporium using the following form:
Ordering Rental Regalia
Any orders received after the cutoff date at 11:59 p.m. will be assessed a $25 late fee.
Rented regalia will be available for pick-up in the Emerson Emporium (114 Boylston Street) beginning on the order pickup date.
Faculty are responsible for returning their rented regalia by the order return date. Regalia must be returned to the Emerson Emporium.
Rental Order Deadlines for Commencement Weekend May 2026
- Order Cutoff: March 29, 2026
- Order Pickup: April 27, 2026
- Order Return: May 15, 2026
Pricing
2026 rental pricing (including the Emerson Emporium 20% faculty and staff discount for College events) is as follows:
- Bachelor’s Regalia Package (gown and mortarboard cap with tassel): $35.80
- Master’s Regalia Package (gown, hood, and mortarboard cap with tassel): $68.00
- Doctoral Regalia Package (gown, hood, and tam with tassel): $70.40

- Monday, April 27 to Friday, May 1 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Saturday, May 2 from 11:00 to 4:00 p.m.
- Monday, May 4 to Wednesday, May 6 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Thursday, May 7 from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
- Friday, May 8 from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
- Saturday, May 9 from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
- After May 9: Monday through Friday 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
